Published by the Susquehanna Art Museum, Harrisburg, PA, this catalog accompanied an exhibtion of Herr's work from the late 1950s to 2008. Herr, a gifted painter who lives in Lancaster, PA, was part of the vital abstract painting movement centered in Philadelphia in the late 1940s and 1950s around the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. There, Herr and others were able to work with the likes of Franz Kline, Melville Price and Mercedes Matter.
